Some back ground info: During my the start of highschool, my parents have been on the brink of divorce, but has decided to not split apart for my sake. They act like neutral room-mates in the house. Its been hard on me emotionally and mentally. Then my very close grandpa passed away in my soph year. Its been hard. Just wondering if this will affect anything.

TL:DR - I PLAN ON GOING COMPLETE “HAM” ON MY ACADEMICS THIS YEAR. So my gpa for 11th grade me be nearing a 3.5- 3.7. Please CC, help me out. Thanks

~~~ sorry~~~
I have been playing the piano for 10 years so far. Competed once and won gold, and have done many performances/recitals are shelters, hospitals and retirment homes. thanks!
hey you might want to take a look at Elon University in NC. Also American University in Washington. When the time comes. But I wouldn’t be looking at specific colleges yet. Just focus on your growth and development. Sorry to hear about your parents.
there are 3 or 4000 us universities. You will be able to choose from most of them. Just work hard. Don’t worry that you might have done better before now. Too early to stress about this stuff
If you got a 2.6, I honestly doubt you are going to go ham and get a 3.8. You can’t just change your habits in a snap. Just work hard but don’t set specific goals like that, cause you are not going to hold up. just focus on getting the best grades you can, not a number.
Also, your personal situations can help some if you explain it well, but you aren’t really even trying to challenge yourself by only taking one honors class. You’ll get into a college though, dw
Any other above average colleges that I have a chance to get into? I think a liberal arts type of school would be fitting for me but I want to hear from the experts :)
