Am I heading in the right direction for Colgate?

<p>Hi, I was hoping some current Colgate students or alumni could give any advice for the best chance of an acceptance next year at Colgate. I really loved it there, and hope to apply early decision. These are some stats about me:
~Current unweighted GPA is a 3.54 (I know I need a 3.725 this year to start off next year with a 3.6 and I am on track with this)
~First SAT 1880. CR-630 M-600 W-650
~ I believe I am in 2nd decile right now (Not yet calculated)
~AP's Euro-4, Chem, Lit, US History, next year Psych, Environmental, Calc AB or Stats
Clubs and Organizations
~Literary Magazine (Section Editor)
~French Club
~Varsity Tennis (Should be Captain next year)
~National Honors Society (Looking for a leadership position for next year)
~Summer Reading Program volunteer (4X)
~ASP mission trip (3X) -<a href=""&gt;;/a>
~<em>State Student Advisory Council on Education (A high school advisory board to the state department of education that meets monthly, culminating each year into a proposal to the state board of education)</em></p>

<p>Thanks for your help!</p>

<p>Youre in… Its not that hard to get into.</p>

<p>@TrynaMakeIt‌ Colgate is not easy. You’ve got a good shot but try getting that SAT to 2000+… Good luck!</p>

“[Colgate] is not that hard to get into” (1)

Compared to what? Colgate, by average student SAT/ACT scores, is 44th in the country. That might leave only about 43 U.S. colleges that are more difficult to get into. That’s not many in a country with 50 states.

You should strive to get to 1400+ on new SAT, be in the top 10% of your class. Do something great this summer and make sure your essays are memorable.

And apply early decision.

I have to say that I inadvertently bumped this thread. The OP appears to be a current Colgate ED applicant.
