Am I Just Splitting Hairs?

I’ve been pretty nervous about the FRQ section of the AP Comparative Government and Politics exam for awhile; this isn’t good, because I’ve heard from so many people that it was an easy exam. Many of the questions I look at I don’t know how to answer, though. I think this may be because I’m just overanalyzing the question.

For example, one of the questions is: “Describe two features of the Russian political system that reflect economic liberalization policy.”

At first, upon looking at this, I thought about Yeltsin’s “shock therapy” and the overall privatization of companies and creation of private enterprises for the two answers. However, immediately after, I began to doubt myself.

If we are supposed to describe a feature of a political system that reflects economic liberalization policy, doesn’t that mean we are supposed to describe part of the political system (i.e. the election process, the Duma, etc.)? If this were the case, “shock therapy” or privatization would not be valid answers, because they aren’t technically part of the political system. But what part of the political system would reflect this policy?

Am I just overanalyzing or is this question really that difficult? I sure hope it’s the former. Thanks for the help.

I’m going to shamelessly bump this because I would like an answer.

Please guys, any help? You don’t need to know Comparative Government or anything…
