<p>Back when I was in school, commended scholars were notified by mail/through their school. I think it was later than September. I graduated HS in 1990, so I can’t remember back that far for more details.</p>
<p>Your high school counselor has, or very shortly should have, this information and should pass it on to you but yes that score gets you commended.</p>
