Am I NEU EA material?

I’ve pretty much fallen in love with BU and NEU. The campuses (or lack-there of) are great and the areas are nicely located. I’ve pretty much decided to apply ED at BU and then EA at NEU.

Colleges:
I’ve pretty much really liked BU and really want to apply ED there. Anyways, Can I can apply ED there and apply EA at NEU also?

At least to me, it seems like I can’t pick between BU and NEU. They’re both great. I wouldn’t be disappointed if I went to one over the other.

If you are applying ED to a school you are picking it. It is a binding application if you get in. Do you know what program you are applying for, you are in the bottom 25% at each of the schools.

Well swimcris, you have to take into account he has worked really hard throughout high school and that comes across in his schedule (wow, that’s awesome man!) . they’ll see that. try to get the SATS and ACTs up though, that’s just what is holding you back

I agree with swim chris. Your GPA looks great but you might want to retake SAT’s. They don’t count writing. Your ec’s look decent, don’t put too much emphasis on your summer work experience because I assume most high school students work during the summers. Internships at a company looks more impressive. Not positive but im pretty sure if you are doing ED for for any school you can’t apply anywhere else.

I’m def. taking the SATs and ACTs again in the Fall. ACTs in Sept, and SATs in October and hope to bring up my scores.

thanks for the replies

northeasternkid…i looked it up - they do “consider” writing

You are right, i just looked at our website. I guess i was misinformed. Sorry!!!

You can definitely apply EA at Northeastern even if you apply ED somewhere else!!! Make sure you do it, too. Of course, if you get into your ED school and don’t have a really really really good financial excuse why you can’t go, then you’re going there no matter what Northeastern or any other school told you, and no matter when they told you. However if you don’t get into your ED school (deferred or rejected), then its great to know a school you already got into (if you do, that is).

I would say you have a good shot but you never know with northeastern. Last year I applied EA and got deferred I had a 3.9 GPA rank was 11 out of 501 and had tons of extra curricular activities and community service. My down fall was my SAT’s which was Math 650 Verbal 550 Writting 550. I think that was the reason why I got deferred. But, then I got in Regular Decision. So you never know it might be a toss up but I’d say you have a really good shot good luck!!
