Am I on the right track, EC-wise?

I’m a rising junior, and while I don’t have any test scores yet (AP scores come in June, SAT/ACT/PSAT are next year), I do have some EC’s. I do what I like, but I’m really worried that my EC’s seem thinly spread over a wide field of interests. How can I improve this list so I seem to have more of a focus?

EC’s:
Founder/president of Women’s Equality Club
Founder/editor of school’s literary magazine
French Honor Society/French tutoring
Chinese classes since 6 years old
Asian club
Destination Imagination

Volunteer work:
Local science museum, tutoring failing inner-city kids, Homework Hotline, local YWCA/women’s shelters

Awards:
National French Contest top ten national rankings (I was 3rd nationally this year and 6th last year), 2nd at Destination Imagination state competition

You should be fine. Just be dedicated to what you enjoy.

The first two years of high school are a great time to sample lots of different activities and figure out which ones mean the most to you. Now that you’ve done that, why not identify those that you care the most about, and put in some serious time and effort to raise your level of engagement? And if any of these activities don’t really inspire you, drop them and invest that time in something you care more about.
