Am I on the right track for applying to selective schools?

This isn’t really a chance me thread, but I’m a high school junior wondering if I’m on the right track to apply to some selective schools. The most selective schools that I’m considering are WashU (I’ll apply ED), Northwestern, and Carleton College. I know that many qualified applicants get rejected at these schools, but I would like to know if I would be qualified enough to at least have a chance at these schools. Here are my stats, ECs, etc.

PSAT score: 1470 out of 1520 (720 CR, 750 M, one question wrong on math)
-I plan on taking the SAT, some SAT subject tests, and maybe the ACT.

Unweighted GPA: 3.9
Weighted GPA: 4.5
Rank: 2/750
APs taken so far: Psychology (5), Language and Comp (current), Chemistry (current), Calc BC (current)
Senior Schedule: aid in special needs PE class, Spanish 4, AP Bio, AP US History, AP Literature, AP Statistics, AND MAYBE AP Seminar (still have to talk to my counselor to see if it’s an option for seniors)

Awards
-high honor roll all semesters of high school
-selected for the Illinois Music Educators Association honor choir
-I don’t really have any major awards. Will this be an issue competing with other applicants?

Extracurriculars
-community theater company (7 years)
-community choral organization (9 years, Sophmore and junior year I’ve served as a student leader of my choir, this year I’m also on the administrative team)
-Circle of Friends (Sophmore and junior year, a peer group with students with special needs)
-Mathletes (all years of high school, we practice weekly and compete in 2-3 math competitions during the year)
-Mu Alpha Theta (junior)
-Science National Honor Society (junior, I plan on running for a leadership position next year)

Community Service
-I’ve volunteered at youth theater summer camps (about 160 hours total)
-I regularly volunteer at my church (child care and various events), and in the summer I helped with VBS
-I tutor students struggling in math
-I’m planning on volunteering at a transitional care facility for children with complicated health needs (just discovered this organization). I’m also thinking about applying for a volunteer position at my local hospital in the summer.

I’m planning on pursuing a career in psychological research or public health management (although these aspirations could certainly change in college).

Does anyone have tips for me before I apply next school year? Thank you for your time!

And I plan on continuing with all my current extracurriculars as a senior.

You’ve definitely got a chance. At this point, your standardized testing will be what makes or breaks you, so I would make sure to score a least a 1500 on the New SAT or 33 on the ACT, and well into the 700’s on any SAT Subject Tests that you take.

@morgantmw Thanks for your reply! I didn’t study for my PSAT, so I’m planning on studying for the real one and aiming for at least a 1500.
