Am I On Track?

I know that I’m a little younger, but at least, I am in high school. I just completed 9th Grade last week and got my report card today.

Race: Asian
School Type: N.Y. college prep school
Average: 94.2/100 (I don’t know whether that is unweighted or weighted)
Honors classes: Global
Mock ACT: 33
ECs: Handball Club
Community Service Club
American Red Cross

What else do I have to do to get into college? I don’t even know where to start when it comes to the college process.

stop worrying about what i have to do to get into college but instead enjoy high school doing extra clubs and sports that you WANT to do and keeping your grades up at the same time
its unweighted and your act score is very good you’ll get into where you want just study for standerdized tests

bump please :)

Okay, I guess I would understand you, since you go to my school. Your grades are very strong. If you did not succeed in math and science in 7th Grade at our school, it is most likely that you will not be any honors classes. But you still can get into English, Global (which you have), and Spanish honors. Since you take French, that is a loss, because there is only one French class per grade, and now, the school does not offer any Honors classes in that class. But wait until you’re in 11th Grade, you can take AP French. And APs are not offered until 11th Grade at our school. All the APs at our school mostly consist of math and science. And if you have not been good at math and science in 7th Grade, they will probably not move you up to the Ap level, unless you got a 100 average for the year in math or science. But don’t worry about it. There are still APs in English, Foreign Language, and your best class, history/social studies. Your ACT score is great. If you actually get more preparation for the ACT you will take in 11th Grade, you can do better, because a mock ACT is never counted and no one really studies for them.

Your weakness is your ECs. I know you love handball and have watched every handball world cup since you were born. I think you need to make handball a true sport at our school, but that would be hard, because no school around us plays handball. Though our school is a college prep school, there are not a lot of interesting EC’s available if you do not play sports. Sure, there are clubs that can suit someone’s interests. Like for me, I am in History and Debate Club, since I am interested in history and like to talk about it. I am in all of these community services clubs, since I like to help people. If you find something that you like, but is not available at our school, there are probably clubs aorund your community that offer that sport or activity, or create a club at our school.

hi, jen!!! :)

okay I will bump this thread myself.
