I applied for housing and put down my deposit back in November when I was accepted. I didn’t apply for Honors but they send you an invitation if you meet the requirements and I dont. 
The living learning community I picked was PIE (People in Engineering) and they do a lot of engineering competitions and tours of local engineering companies and cool stuff like that http://housing.uiowa.edu/living-learning-communities/people-engineering
I haven’t visited Iowa but I really want to. From what I hear its an amazing college town with lots of culture. The American Institute for Economic Research ranks iowa city #4 for best college towns 
. Over dinner with my friend’s parents, who are both doctors, I found out they actually met in Iowa City and they’re Iowa Alumni! They had nothing but good things to say about the university and said it was the best four years of their life!
As you can see I’m pretty sold on going there.
