We have a 6th grader now applying for 7th grade. We had prevously connected with a coach who also works in admission. At the Open House the coach/admission person was very purposeful in finding us and saying hello. When it was time for a tour, the coach/admssions person went and hand picked our tour guide. Then as we were leaving coach/admssions person sought us out to say goodbye and said we would stay in touch. Then at our interview we were greeted by all three coaches for the sports our students plays, we even had a 40 minute one on one meeting with one and another came to find us in the admssion office to chat with us for 15 minutes. It was clear that out tour guide was assigned to us specifically as well. Then for our interview we were given the coach/admssions person who gave a glowing report on the interview. When we left we were again told we would stay in touch and then the thank you letter came stating same. Our student has straights As and is a very strong athlete in 3 sports and would interview very well. (we wonder if the babies got mixed up in the nursery ). We are so hopeful and wondering is this a good sign? Our student is so ecxcited and we are trying to temper that.
Sounds like you had a great personalized visit - make sure to send thank you notes too - from you and your child could send too.
It’s a good sign. But it’s early in the process.
