I attend a notable magnate school, one of the most prestigious schools in the nation. I entered as a junior.

I was number one at a competitive public school, won state speaking awards, and was a state ranked tennis player.
I am a siemens regional semifinalist, went to state science fair, interned in london for a summer at goldman sachs, did research for two summers in a laboratory, and won numerous business awards, am president of the business organization, and I started my own business.

I transferred to this prestigious school as a junior.
first semester of junior year i got a perfect gpa, but second semester i got a c, a couple b’s and the rest A’s. for my first semester of senior year i got all As to have a cumulative gpa of 3.75/4 at my school. i also got a 2320 on the sat.

seeing the ^ above stats, do I still have a chance at hypsm with the c and a few b’s? or should i shoot for rice, uchicago, or even below?

If your magnet school is as good as you say, then it probably has top commensurate guidance counselors. Go sit and talk with them – their advice is better than strangers’

Thanks for your advice! However, I want to pursue a degree in biochem, get an MBA, and hopefully have my own biotech startup. however, im not sure at the moment, as my interests with biology and business somewhat conflict and have little overlap.

No one without a real hook should ever “shoot for” HYPSM. Apply by all means but shoot for implies places you have a real shot, and about 3% of the unhooked, amazing kids out there have a real shot at HYPSM. Make those your super, over the top reaches, rice and Chicago your reaches and round the list out with some strong matches and a safety.
