I am currently attending El Camino College. I plan to apply for transfer to USC this year. However, with my current gpa of 3.5, will i even have a chance of getting accepted? My major is psychology btw. Please help me decide on whether i should even try to apply or if i should spend another year at El Camino.

The admissions committee looks at the entire application. If you have been in college for only one year your SAT or ACT scores will be considered. Have you done anything outside of the classroom that would enhance your qualifications?

Last year there were 9611 applications to transfer. The average college GPA was 3.7. On the CC site there is a transfer forum. Look for the USC thread. There are suggestions and helpful information about the transfer process.
