Am I SOL?

Hate to do another chance thread. But I think the other chance threads are relatively obvious to the respective OP’s (i.e 2150+ SAT, 3.9 GPA, top 10%, etc.). My situation is a little different.

I come from a decent lineage of alumni. Both parents, two aunts, and one uncle (deceased) is an endowed professor.

Academic Stats: 3.46 GPA/Top 50%/ 590 CR, 580 M, 570 W
Coursework: APUSH, APWH, 6 credit hours of joint enrollment junior year, senior year will be 13 credit hours of joint enrollment per semester, all other classes taken are honors .
School: Top magnet school, ranked nationally, and competitive
Me: White Jewish Male (def in my odds, not lol)

With this aside, my EC’s are above average IMO. I’ll just post my resume.

I know academics are weak, but do I have a shot? Would applying for summer term make any difference?

The GPA is the most important factor in the admissions criteria. Even with strong EC’s, a GPA of less than 3.5 is a reach for U-M

Yes I do think you have a chance. But you definetely need to bring up your GPA so work on that during the first semester senior year.
What are your AP scores?

Your GPA and SAT are extremely low for UMich, but do you have a shot? Write some kickass essays and maybe…

IS I think you have a small chance…OOS probably not :frowning: Try to get that GPA up and it will help you immensely.

you have little to no chance, sorry. unless you kick a$$ in your essays, then i don’t see how you’d get in

Kinda yea with the SAT score OOS. sorry.

Do they focus more on weighted or unweighted GPA? I have a 3.2UW but 3.9W.
