<p>I’m a junior at the best public school in my district in Katy, TX (PLENTY of kids have gone to ivy leagues), but when I was younger, I lived in Bolivia (9 months) and Vietnam (2 years) and visited places around the world from South Africa to Beijing to Costa Rica (I thought that might make for a good essay).
I’ve taken the SAT twice and my scores were 1930 and 2040- reading: 660 math: 690 writing:700- and I plan on taking it one more time this fall. I am also going to take the physics, math II, and US history subject tests. Not sure whether to take ACT or not.

<p>Class Rank: 76/978 (8%)- my school is REALLY growing, so this should improve next semester</p>

FBLA- sophomore year- counted money every week for the school store
Got silver medal 2 years in a row on the National Spanish Exam (scored in top 15%)</p>
<p>In addition, I’ve been chosen to represent my school all expense-paid at Girls State this summer at Texas Lutheran University, and am currently applying to the Congressional Youth Advisory Council in my Senator’s district to discuss student perspectives on current issues. And I plan on majoring in biochemistry or medical microbiology with a minor in finance or business administration if possible</p>
<p>Also, if ya’ll could post which of these schools would be the MOST realistic for me because I don’t want my parents paying for me to apply to a school that I have minimal to no chance of getting into, though 2 or 3 would be okay</p>
<p>Do you have any hooks, such as being a URM, First-gen, Legacy, etc? </p>
<p>If not, you really need to get your SAT scores up, especially for Stanford and UPenn. You’ll want to get at least a 2200 to even be competitive. Also, while your rank is good, your GPA isn’t, and I think you might have a good rank just based on the size of your school. Get that GPA up! On the bright side, it looks like you have a rigorous course-load, which is great.</p>
<p>Furthermore, you’ll want to take two subject tests (three for Georgetown) and score above 700 on each (preferably 750+).</p>
<p>Extracurriculars are fairly good, just make sure to accentuate your commitment and what you did in those clubs, as well as why they’re important to you. </p>
<p>Based on your stats right now, I think ND is the only realistic one (and even that is a reach), but you never know. Keep working on improving your stats, and most importantly, write killer essays and conveying an awesome personality. Seriously, I can’t stress this enough. Good luck!</p>
<p>I think Northwestern and Notre Dame material, yes. You’d have a fairly good chance of getting in- better than 50%. </p>
<p>No offense at all, but you’d definitely need to raise your SAT scores for Stanford. Your resume is excellent, but Stanford puts a LOT of weight into SAT scores.</p>
<p>UPenn, same with Stanford, though probably not as extreme. To realistically have a 50+% chance, you’d want at least a 2250-2300.</p>
