Am I Transfer or Fresh

<p>I am in the midst of completing my polytechnic diploma and would like to start applying for uni/colleges. The classes which I’m taking are credited and there is a certain degree of curriculum overlap if I were to take a similar course in college. However, I would like to try for a different major than what I am currently studying for my diploma. </p>

<p>Would it be easier/better to apply as a freshman, or as a transfer student following my diploma, and subsequently transferring major. </p>

<p>(Besides, the last time I actually studied proper math and science was a good three years back.)</p>

<p>It depends on BOTH how many units you’ve completed and the college that you’re applying to, as different colleges have different definitions of who is a fr and who is a transfer applicant.</p>

<p>Go to the college websties to see admissions policies and if they are unclear, give the school a call.</p>
