Am I waaaaaaaay too late? Alexandre, answer please!

Hi, Im a pre-architecture applicant(LSA) from India. I know international applicants should be extra early, but i am a perfectionist, so for me, the essays were never really complelte.
anyway, my stats are:
M 720
V 730
SAT II (Does mich even consider these)- math2c-730/physics-700/writing-720
Rank-7/78
Taken the toughest honors courses at my school. no AP/IB offered yet.
Chemistry, Physics, English, Elective Art, Maths

Essays- Pretty good(I cant really comment on my own essays though)
Rec- Amazing, she let me read it
I am also sending an awesome portfolio of about twenty pieces of work
EC’s- Editor in chief, yearbook chief editor, tons of social work(as in i spent weeks in villages teaching kids), Varsity soccer team, Debating, MUN winner, Quizzing, and other public speaking.

Well, it comes down to the ever popular question- do i have a chance?

Well, I’m no umich expert but if your umich GPA is 3.9+ I’d say you have a great chance.

How do you calculate UMich GPA?

Just take your letter grades from 10th and 11th grade (core classes only - foreign lauguage, english, math, social studies, science)…

A-, A, A+ translate to 4.0
B-, B, B+ translate to 3.0
etc…

average them together and round to the nearest tenth to get your umich GPA.

but aren’t certain classes weighted more…

nope - They unweigh your classes.

what i am trying to say is that for instance in my school u take physics 4 times a week and lit three times a week so an A in physics has more weight on ur GPA because it is more credits. So what do u do in the case to calculate your GPA?

my teacher put the weighed gpa from the 3 yrs…will umich do it differently after lookin at our transcript?

no no matter wut its unweighted no matter how often u take a class or little. ur final average is unweighted.

Relax Jimminy. It is late, but you have excellent credentials. You still have a good chance. But you are no longer a lock. Had you applied 2 months ago, you would have been a virtual guarantee. Now I would say you have a good chance…but you aren’t definitely in.

And all your classes will be counted equally. Obviously, Michigan will take into consideration the difficulty of your curriculum, but it will not weigh your GPA.
