<p>As someone who lives in the Philly area, I don’t recommend it if you’re looking for a “vibrant” city. Seattle has got to be the coolest city in the US, supposing you don’t have an issue with a little bit of constant drizzle.</p>
<p>IMO, the Amherst/Northampton area is the best college town area. Especially if you’re not deeply conservative or something.</p>
<p>It has about a billion cool shops, 5 colleges [U(zoo)Mass, Hampshire, Smith, Mt. Holyoke, Am[h]erst], (PARTIES!!!), its pretty, about a million other things</p>
<p>Georgetown is right in DC. I’ve passed it multiple times.</p>

<p>I’m talking about the main campus. It’s in some obscure neighborhood and is a car ride from DC</p>
<p>From my dad’s job on 14th street in DC, it took me 10 minutes to drive to Georgetown. Main Campus. It’s its own little neighborhood thing, but it’s still a part of DC.</p>

<p>Not only do we have the awesomeness that is Brown, but also forgotten places like URI, RIC, and Providence College!</p>

<p>haha of course RISD! It’s like a better version of Pratt, as it’s a better art school in a better location!</p>
<p>Georgetown is in DC, in the Georgetown neighborhood, the most affluent part of the city where many of the embassies are located (I know for sure the Thai embassy is right of M street, and remember seeing other around)</p>
<p>It’s like right there. You can’t miss the massiveness of it. I mean, it sticks out.</p>
<p>I’d love to live in NYC for college (which is why Columbia is so appealing), however it seems nice to live in a college town too as an undergrad. I think I might save the city for postgrad (if I get the chance of course).</p>

Not only for internship and other job opportunities but since I’m an international student, I’d just love to go to those places in NYC!
Although Columbia is known to be rigorous, I have heard from the students how the clubbing/partying is good?!</p>
<p>Seattle, WA and Portland,OR seem like nice places to live. I really liked their “urban culture”. Although not sure about the college situation there.</p>

Seattle is a very nice city though.</p>
