I’m always amazed, pardon the pun, at the number of seasons that TAR has been around. We’re up to 24 and it begins tomorrow night at 8 on CBS. I know that not everyone likes the all star seasons but I enjoy seeing how teams improve their racing, if at all. Perhaps the couple who stupidly was eliminated with an express pass will redeem themselves this time around. There are a few teams that I enjoy and a few I don’t. That’s the way it is on TAR.

^^ thanks for the reminder! I’m not too fond of the all stars, but I love to see the different countries.

Don’t like the all-stars either. There’s only 3 teams of interest to me, the KY guys, the guy who tore his Achilles and the Sri Lanka girls. I think any interaction between the Afghanimals and the Sri Lanka girls will be interesting though.

The Cowboys and the Globetrotters are my picks for the gold and silver medals but I’m undecided which team will win. The Afghanimals should take the bronze.

Not loving this. I’d rather see new teams than give 2nd and 3rd trips to teams that were incredibly annoying in the first place.

Not a particularly challenging first leg but still interesting seeing China. Oh my goodness, that ride on top of the tower was amazing. The Twinnies were as annoying as ever, and they didn’t race smartly so they deserved to be gone. One thing I like about an allstar season is already knowing the teams. Usually, it takes a few legs before you have a good grasp on what the teams are all about. When you know them right from the start, it makes it a little more exciting.

I love All-Stars - or no-stars ! JUst love Amazing Race!!

Tough break for Bopper. Not sure how excited mark was to have Mallory! She sure is good natured though !!

Happy to see Jet and Cord with an express pass win! Wonder how they will decode to share it since they don’t tend to team up with anyone.

The twinnies earned every bit of that last place finish! Maybe for the best,I was sick of their arguing already!

Anyone else notice that the one Afghanistan guy said he got marred after their last episode ( which was JIST last season)?? After all that flirting on their season?? That was a quick turn around!!

I haven’t watched that many seasons so some of the groups were new to me. I can’t believe the annoying “twines” were back - so glad they were the first to go. China looked beautiful. Should be a great contest.

Even though the cowboys and Globetrotters are among my all-time favorite teams, I don’t like all-star editions, especially with teams doing TAR for the 3rd time.

I also don’t like the cross-promotions with “Survivor” and “Big Brother”, so I’m less than thrilled to see Brendan & Rachel again.

The twins definitely deserved to be the first team eliminated.

Oh my god, I simply could not stand the “Twinies” already! Good bye!

How could Mark (Bopper’s buddy) pair up with someone he’d never met before? That seems risky at best. To me the race is partially run based on what you know of the other person (strengths, weaknesses, etc.) as well as it seems like a very intimate experience. Could YOU run around the world for a million bucks with a stranger? And how would the prize be divvied up should they win? I’m stymied.

Still adore Cord and Jet (?).

And I agree, being given a THIRD go at the race…Not!

We were hoping to see the San Diego State football players who got eliminated last season because of flight issues. Not super excited about any of these pairs, but will still watch!

I believe this is also Mallory’s third time and the cowboys - so clearly the cowboys are still a Favorite !!

Who watched last night???

Well, clearly that was a not-in-heaven match up! Mark and Mallory go down too soon!

Putting that car together would have been the death of me - not mechanical at all!

SOOO disappointed that the cowboys gave that express pass away to the country girls. Ugh, those girls have skated by SOO many times on others fumes.

Very interesting lessons learned in this episode I’d say. YouTube was beat (barely) by a team that could have been sunk but that youtube helped out. A lesson learned when the team you helped beats you!!!

I did! I was disappointed that the country girls got the express pass, too but it was very smart strategy for the cowboys to give it to them when they did.

Sorry that Mark and Mallory are gone but I never had high hopes for them.

It must be tough to race with a stranger. Mark nailed the car but it fell apart with the backpack and communications/decision making. Giving the express pass to the weakest team was good strategy. The girls will be gone soon.

I only have Dave and Connor left to root for. The cowboys would be ok but there’s no one else for me.

I liked the twins during their season and my daughter was sad they got eliminated (but they were pretty darn brash). Rooting for cowboys.

Have to mention Big Easy’s comment about coming out of cabs had me laughing out loud.

I don’t really care for the All -Star concept. I’d rather have new people get the chance to travel the world and win prizes, and most of these returnees are folks I never wanted to see again anyway. (This is the third attempt for three of the teams. Enough already!) Do we really need another chance to watch Luke dissolve in tears, the Afghanimals scheme badly, or Rachel…be Rachel? (Speaking of Rachel, I just looked at her bio questionnaire on the CBS website and it has to be read to be believed. I have no clue what a smart, handsome guy like Brendon saw in this twit.)

I hate Rachel. My daughter, who has a much better memory than me, spouted off word for word (which I can’t recall) something like “WAH! But I can’t cut my hair…I just got extensions!”

Rachel’s annoying but I don’t mind her. I thought it was pretty funny when Brendon said that they’d made it through an entire leg without Rachel crying!

I agree that that would be good strategy but it actually was even better than that. What made it great strategy was that, not only were those girls the weakest team but they also had to use the Express Pass immediately, leaving the cowboys as the only team with one now. That was key!
