AMC AIME for MIT

I have very good grades, test scores, and ECs. I qualified for the AIME with an AMC score of 100.5 and I got a 1 on the AIME. Will this look horrible to places like MIT, Caltech, and Stanford?

I have no idea how to interpret that, but MIT, Caltech, and Stanford are VERY hard to get into. If you made a big splash in AIME, then it would actually be significant, I think.

This girl at my school who got into Yale, Duke, Caltech, Wake, and UNC was outright rejected by MIT. It’s alomost too hard to predict, as she was rejected or waitlisted by Harvard as well.

If you have strong math/ science-related ECs, like 3.9+ UW GPA, and 2250+ SAT, then you might stack up with everybody else who applies to these schools. You need to differentiate yourself from every other applicant, that’s the key! Best of Luck! ;)

Could you take a peak at my stats, please!
