<p>So I have never heard of AMC and AIME before looking at the accepted and rejected from MIT threads. Will it be detrimental to my acceptance chances if I have never participated in these? Is it normal for people accepted to MIT to have these?</p>
<p>Many accepteees have done those competitions; many haven’t. MIT knows that some students are completely unaware of the competitions.</p>
