<p>My D’s roommate filed an amended FAFSA after her parent’s just filed their extended 2012 tax return. Upon amendment, I guess because of lower income than anticipated and reported, her FAFSA now indicated that she was eligible for a Pell Grant. How exactly will this work, will she get any money this semester even though the semester is half way through, will any money next semester, or will she get no money because FAFSA was amended after the school year started?</p>
<p>Also, how does this affect her Cal Grant eligibility if her family’s income and assets are within the acceptable threshold. </p>
<p>In either case, does she need to ask for a review from someone due to the amendment or is it automatically processed?</p>
