American Culture Q&a

Are American Culture classes listed with 99-199 after the title not recommended for freshman or is the material recommended for upper division students? (EDUCATION 160AC or AFRICAN AMERICANM STUDIES 110 AC)

ALSO

How do we change a class from grade to P/NP?

Upper div classes are numbered 100-199.

To change a class to P/NP, you use Telebears. Under the appropriate term and year, select “Change Grade Option” under “Enrollment.” And if you’re planning on changing to P/NP now, I would advise against it since you have until the end of October to do so, whereas you have only until the end of September to change from P/NP to a letter grade.

AC classes 100 and above are considered upper-division, but if you want to take it, you are allowed to. Depending on subject, professor, etc., the class may be easier or harder than typical classes. AC classes are supposedly tougher than regular classes at times and although some freshman want to take all lower division stuff, as a freshman I took two upper division breadth classes and people can take whatever they want as long as they are allowed to.

To change a class from grade to P/NP, use Telebears. Once you’re in the semester, there should be an option on the sidebar that lets you change from grade to P/NP.

Thanks!!!
