<p>One (1) $5,000.00 scholarship, one (1) $4,000.00 scholarships, two (2) $3,000.00 scholarships, four (4) $2,000.00 scholarships, and two (2) $1,000.00 scholarships will be awarded not later than December 31, 2011.</p>
<p>Applicants must be enrolled in a public or private dance school program at the time of the application.</p>
<p>In an effort to provide better opportunities for young people pursuing performing arts careers, American Harlequin established an annual Dance Scholarship Program. Our first annual program in 1999 resulted in $10,000 in scholarship monies being awarded.</p>
<p>Now we are awarding $25,000 this year to ten lucky individuals. Just as we did in previous years, since we are not in a position to judge the artistic merits or financial situation of the applicants, we hold a random drawing to select the winners. In these uncertain economic times, our hope is to offer a little financial help to some lucky young people who wish to continue in whatever form of dance help fulfills their lives.</p>
