<p>Go Alex! Love that hometown visit video. I wish he were more loose like that on the idol stage because I think is the most musically talented of the bunch this year.</p>
<p>Alex and my kids graduated from the same HS! We have since moved and were anxious to see his hometown visit. It was great to see all the old familiar places but we were disappointed that there was no footage from his rally at the HS. The concert was out at UNH where Alex attended. Go Alex!</p>

<p>I don’t think I can stand to watch anymore, it that’s the outcome. I’ll look at you all’s comments and figure out if a day is worth watching. So let me know if there’s anything other than watching J Lo’s prancing for the camera and such.</p>
<p>Dang is right, but I will go see his concerts. He is the real deal and he gets music. The other two are nice, but their gimmicks may limit them … That rocker yell gets old, and Jena needs to fix that part of her voice that is an affected 17-year-old, the part where she is trying to sound sophisticated but instead makes the words hard to understand. So bummed.</p>
<p>But hey, did anyone notice that Alex’s girlfriend from a few weeks ago is the girl that was on the Voice a few years ago … They had labelled her bullied and she cried on stage, but she made it through several rounds.</p>
<p>Very sad about Alex. I guess the judges got what they wanted since they’ve been pro-Caleb and were gunning for him to be in the finals. </p>
<p>To be honest, I lost interest in Idol weeks ago and haven’t watched much. Alex was always my favorite, though, and he’s clearly the most musically talented, by a long shot. We caught the last ten minutes or so of last night’s show and, although I was sorry to see him go, I wasn’t surprised. It’s common on Idol for less talented individuals to make it farther along in the process than singers who are much more talented. I loved hearing him sing one more time and really hope that I get to hear more of him, maybe on my favorite Sirius station, the Coffeehouse.</p>
<p>One other observation on the short viewing last night. Could Caleb’s family have dressed more inappropriately for such an event? Good grief.</p>

During Wednesday’s two hour extravaganza, Caleb is set to duet with KISS, Jena will sing with Paramore and 3rd place finisher, Alex Preston, will join forces with Jason Mraz. Demi Lovato will perform with the girls of the Top 13.</p>
<p>Other Top 13 pairings include: Jessica Meuse and Jennifer Nettles. Malaya Watson and John Legend, CJ Harris, Dexter Roberts and Darius Rucker and Sam Woolf and Phillip Phillips. Lady Antebellum and Aloe Blacc are also set to perform!</p>
<p>I don’t really care to relive my high school years with KISS!!! Looking very much forward to Sam/Phillip.</p>

<p>Very underwhelmed by tonight. If I’m being honest, the judges looked a little underwhelmed during the performances as well . IMO, very weak finale by idol standards. Jena’s first song very shaky. Hated that they did repeat songs again. The original sings - Jenas was a mediocre arrangement - Caleb’s is nothing like what I hear on my radio stations!!!</p>
<p>Maybe it’s because we fast forwarded through so much of it, but I didn’t think it was a very exciting finale. Cheesy?? YES.</p>
