Has anyone from California heard anything yet or was able to make an account? I am losing all hope.
@aertire I live in California and haven’t been able to create a myau account. I am going to wait for the letter and try not to stress.

@rachelmalaga I’m trying to figure that out too and it’s stressing me out omg. We might have to just wait for the letters to find out if we got into the musical theatre major. Also, did you see specifically that you were accepted for the theatre major but you just don’t know if you got into MT? I went onto the portal and I saw that I was accepted but can’t seem to find where to see what major I was accepted for - I auditioned for MT but also put journalism as a possible alternate major on my application so it could be either one of those.
Officially accepted!! I saw the congratulations. I was a little surprised because of my GPA but my extra curicculars and internship put me over the top.
Is anyone here a transfer student? (Class of 2020 and apparently my admissions are being rolled out the same as regular decision applicants based on the e-mail I got!)
Also as someone who was accepted last year to American (didn’t go for financial reasons), the portal thing is DEFINITELY not reliable, I was accepted and couldn’t make a portal. Also, the thread from last year showed literally a 50/50 accuracy, so it could be right but some people logged in even though they were rejected. It’s a stupid glitch, sadly. PLEASE don’t stress, y’all just need to wait! I know it is a stressful waiting game, but it’s worth it in the end. Good luck!!!
@eketterm where did you see the congratulations?
For those of you who have already created your portal, did you also reciee your admission packets? Or did you go on by chance?
I don’t have the congratulations but when I go on New Students it says “Now that you’ve been admitted to AU and you’ve completed your Enrollment Agreement, AU will send you lots of information about getting ready for classes this spring. The checklist can help you organize and keep track of some of the tasks you will need to accomplish before arriving for classes in January”
do you think this means im accepted for spring semester only??
Based on last year’s thread if you’re from California you most likely will receive your letter on the 24th!

If you are able to make an account and want to know for sure you got in go to life@AU tab, go to new students and on the right hand side there is enrollment agreement. It says congratulations on your admission to American.
I’m from NJ and was able to make an account! I did what @Doberlady said and it had the congratulations message. I could also see my financial aid (they gave me more than all the other schools I got in to)
