@Laurene99 same here! There’s also another portal for admitted students, which you can find by googling myau but still haven’t figured it out if it means that you didn’t get in if you can’t login to that one
I still haven’t gotten a letter or been able to login (VA). Is that an agreed upon rejection?
just curious, what did people write their supplemental essays on?
received my letter (San Diego, CA)
So, do we know whether rejections are sent out after acceptances or whether the mailing of letters is completely random?
I’m from Los Angeles area, California. I haven’t gotten my letter in the mail yet but I did get an email congratulating me on my acceptance/inviting me to a nearby reception for accepted students. Anyone else experience the same thing?
@TheCrimsonBulldog a parent who called admissions to ask previously posted that it is not related to whether you’re accepted or not but I don’t know how much we can trust someone from admissions, they might just say that
How do you view financial aid/scholarships on the portal? Mine says that I’ve got in but no FA on file…
@curiouscris you’ll probably receive your letter today or tomorrow! I’m going to attend LA’s event.
I heard that sometimes colleges give you Spring admissions due to spacing availability even if you didn’t apply for that term.
@curiouscris Yes! I got that too
@futurecollege521 wow that’s exciting! Did you receive that congratulations email? By the looks of my financial aid, I have a feeling my Spring 2018 admission is valid.
@college1738 How are you viewing your FA?
@adlor21 finances --> financial aid --> financial aid: award letter, should be on the right
I got my letter in the mail today!
Accepted to AU Scholars with an $8,000 dean’s scholarship
STATS: 3.5 uw gpa, 29 and 33 act, 1370 sat, full IB diploma courseload, strong extracurriculars (MUN, key club, band, orchestra, and more) and strong recommendations
congrats to everyone else!!!
@anniee3434 Did you receive an email along with your acceptance? I have similar stats but haven’t gotten an email/anything in the mail yet
@warrencourt I’m shocked my daughter didn’t get any merit money either and we don’t qualify for FA. Two years ago, her two friends were accepted with similar stats as my daughter (they had similar SAT’s but a lower GPA than my daughter) and both received 20K.
@cecilia830 yes I got two emails about two different accepted students receptions in my area today as well. I live in MA
PA
And yes I received an email
