is anyone planning to accept their admissions decision and attend in the fall? i accepted mine yesterday because the additional grant i received made AU go from the most expensive university i applied to, to the least. i’ve been nervous about the on-campus and online courses for the fall as well, but live a metro ride away so if need be will commute to lower my cost even more.
@basel63 yay I’m glad! and it’s nice to know that someone else went through something similar as me because it’s been rough feeling like my chances at any university I applied to would be slim due to my GPA. But I’m realizing now that GPA doesn’t really make or break admissions decisions.
@jinxymama @faithcow2000 have you guys heard back yet?
Took almost 2 months but I found out today. I got in!!! Did you get a financial package separate from your acceptance letter?
@basel63 congrats!! yes i did, but i had been accepted before financial aid was awarded, so i had to wait until may to receive it. from the way other universities i applied in may/june went (just in case the CSS profile money wasn’t enough to cover my cost at american), i received my aid a few days after my acceptance
@mellifluousm I got in last week! However, I just received my aid award and it wasn’t good at all. I’m hoping that GW comes through with something much more substantial. I am a bit disappointed because I really like Au’s campus.
