I have tickets to the AGT taping at 12NOON in NY on Wednesday. Anyone know how early I need to be at the line? Any other details much appreciated!

please bump

I assume this is just to watch the show? Or are you trying out? If just to watch… I had tickets to a Seattle taping… But I had to travel out of state that day! As I recall, the company that provided the tickets sent a detailed email about dress code, what was not allowed in the theater, when to show up, etc. I think I deleted that email, but if for some reason I kept it, I will post quotes. I’m on the road and can’t access to my computer where this info could be, but I promise that I will look for it. As I recall, you were supposed to dress festively, like you would for going out, with absolutely no jeans or logos of any kind; all electronic devices needed to be left at home (or hidden in the car, etc.)…

Anyone know how early you need to get there?

I saw it in a much smaller city. I think we got there about an hour before the doors opened. A lot of people arrived after us. They started checking tickets about 30 minutes after we arrived to do a count of people in line. They told us at that point there were plenty of seats and we would get in. Doors opened about an hour before taping started. Don’t bring any electronics in - they will wand you to check. Young, attractive, well-dressed people get pulled out of line to sit right behind the judges.

What do they do if you have a cell phone?
