Boom stick baby! Nelson Cruz is lighting it up already. First inning homer with Cano on base - woot woot woot!!! Now all I can think about was how perfect his eyebrows are. I have to go back to see who brought that up.

Meanwhile our “error machine” shortstop has been stellar. He’s made play after play beautifully.
I know! My D and I always noticed his eyebrows! Glad he is breaking out the Boom Stick.

Dang! Back to back homers - Seager got one too! This is looking kind of good and I may actually still be paying attention in May for a change.

As well you should. Ackley hit a homer too! We are back up 5-3! It is compelling enough that I didn’t switch over to Dancing With the Stars. That’s a change from the last few seasons for sure. Happy Birthday!! <:-P

There must be something in the water…the amount of home runs so far for us has been crazy!
It makes for exciting baseball. The last 2 years we had what many would consider one of the best pitchers in baseball and he endured more 1-0 losses than any man should. It was pathetic. I’ll take a slug fest any day of the week after putting up with that. At least when you’re hitting you have a chance.
I guess I have to stay up until the end of the 10th. Hopefully there is and 11th, but if so I’ve got to read about it in the morning. After 2 extra inning games before this we’re going to run out of pitching.

Having Dustin Ackley playing CF for the Mariners is a bit of an embarrassment. With his OF skills he wouldn’t be playing CF at most high schools. He gets a poor jump, does not track well, is not CF fast, and does not have a great arm.
True and it may have cost them a few runs in the middle innings where they and those balls hit to the fence. With no DH they wanted the bats in the lineup though and he was a better option than Seth Smith
