I’m a junior in high school right now and am thinking about taking a gap year after high school and joining Americorps. I have a few questions:
- How competitive is it to get into the NCCC program? I know it’s getting difficult because of the economy, but I keep hearing about high school students with terrible GPAs (I don’t think GPA matters when they’re deciding but just an example) getting accepted. Is it even possible to get in when you’ve only graduated high school?
- Do you need a substantial amount of volunteer experience to be accepted?
Thanks so much!
