I was just in Middletown and things were pretty quiet. The new science center has reached its complete height and all that remains seems to be the interior work. Some 36 individual labs and related teaching areas:

Is anyone else here waiting on Williams, too? My son just got into Wesleyan and is waiting to hear from Amherst and Williams. It’s so hard to know what you’ll do until you have all the responses. I keep thinking he needs to organize his decision-making, but how can he without knowing?

did anyone get the email last week about FAFSA? It says this, “ Will I receive less aid without a FAFSA?
No. All admitted students who have complete aid applications will receive an accurate aid offer that meets their full calculated need with scholarships, grants and student employment”

Could that be a sign or did everyone get this?

My S24 has all of Carleton, Amherst, and Williams tomorrow. And then three on Ivy Day too, and Vassar TBD. And he could easily get into none, or various combinations.

So personally, I am putting absolutely no pressure on him to decide anything in advance. He will know soon enough, and then he can hopefully get it down to 1 to 3 (the thought being visiting up to 3 would be reasonable).

good luck everyone! Also does anyone know about that FAFSA email thing mentioned above bc it’s lowkey making me nervous. Seems weird to me that they would send the update again, and only to admitted students. Wouldn’t be surprised about a reject, though, because my supps for Amherst weren’t the best anyway.
