Well, itās possible that the FAFSA email discussed above is indicative of something, but likely not. Probably more targeted based on who they thought read the first email, or something.

I think being on these forums has rotted my brain. The vast majority of accepted students should, in theory, get no financial aid emails, because they uploaded enough documents in the first place. Isnāt it a lot more work for the FA office to chase every admitted student around? It has to be a sampling error.
That said, still not confident about my chances tomorrow

Sounds reasonable. My son is waiting on Cornell and Yale for Ivy Day, too. These are his last four schools. Itās quite possible he could get rejected from all four, obviously. They will reject almost everyone.

If it is any reassurance. Columbia and Amherst have similar financial aid portals. However, for whatever reason, i saw a message on Columbiaās portal that my tax docs were not submitted even though I had uploaded them through idoc. I emailed them and they magically found my tax docs lol + they ended their email with your fin aid file is complete now and closed my fin aid portal! Like I cannot access my checklist anymore!? So they prolly didnāt care about me anyway or they would have found the docs they were requesting

Those who received an email from financial aid office did the email contain a seven digit number at the right side of the email?
I received one in January and it did have a seven digit number on the right hand side ā¦ therefore i wouldnāt read that much into it
