No, even ED kids don’t have any info yet. I don’t think there’s been a portal update of any sort since December (except possibly for FAFSA updates). Swarthmore, Bowdoin, and Williams all have admitted student dates listed on their websites while Amherst’s is still listed as TBA.

At least for Bowdoin I dont think there is a date either. Perhaps this info is available to those admitted earlier but I couldnt find anything

The Bowdoin stuff is here Admitted Students Frequently Asked Questions (I double checked to make sure it was for this calendar year and it is. The Bearings in Brunswick program is Thursday 4/18 and Friday 4/19).

That could just mean that you had all of them in when you submitted the first time.

I have no idea if my son has a chance of getting in here. We had a great tour this summer and took extra time in the afternoon to go back to visit spots we liked. Got stuck in the rain. It was a true adventure. Neither of us had ever been to Western Massachusetts before, we were on a driving trip adventure to visit about six colleges, and Amherst was our first stop. We actually did a tour of UMass the day before, and it wasn’t my son’s style. But it was nice to see that campus, because it gave us an idea of the town. We had pizza by the slice at a recommended spot and went to the CVS. Walked around. Found a narrow passage way. Stayed in an adorable Inn/ B&B with chickens and dogs. We loved our Amherst tour guide so much (we have quotes), and the kids who worked that day in admissions. My son actually made a friend on the tour (another Californian, lol). We chatted with parents, and generally everyone on the tour was friendly and in a great mood. I took that as a really good sign for the school and the cohort who was looking at it along with us. I will always like Amherst. (Except for the construction and confusing one-way streets - both of which are solved by time and experience if he decides to go there.)

This sounds so amazing, thank you for sharing. I am an international applicant and I did a lot of research on my part but it isn’t the same as being on campus!

I’m glad this helped. I didn’t even mention the Beauty. The campus is beautiful, the little town is beautiful. So much greenery. Very different than Southern California. Mystical. Old and quaint at times, relevant and fun, too.

Does anyone’s Financial aid portal button look weird?( extra padding)

this reminds me of my favorite college tour anecdote ever, in which our Amherst tour guide (this was five years ago, so she’s moved on by now) indicated the sweeping beauty around us and confidently told us that Amherst College “owns 10% of all the land in Massachusetts.” Later on she revealed that never having to take a math class was one of the big things that drew her to Amherst :joy:
