AMSCO AP Us History

I have been tirelessly searching for this book! An immediate search on Amazon returns the price of $78. For once, Amazon does not seem to have the best deal! Seventy-eight dollars for a study book is outrageous, i understand if it was a textbook but still…

Since everybody seems to be recommending this book i am wondering where everybody purchases it from?

I cant find it in stock anywhere! I even visited the publisher’s site and they dont even have it in stock!

I want a NEW book NOT USED

Someone help me find the book please!

Thanks guys,
Amman

Says “Availability: On Order” so you might want to check that every now and then.

I purchased it direct from AMSCO last year (it was in stock then.)

It seems that people are purchasing it for more than $70 on amazon. Simple supply and demand, I guess…

i understand supply and demand… what i dont understand is how can the publisher run out of books. I went to my local BN and they said they could back order it but they dont know when it will come…

i dont know what to do…

I ordered this book when the status was “on order” less than a month ago. It did take about a week for my shipping notification but it wasn’t too long. If you want this book order it and you will get it with hopefully not much delay.

is it recommended to purchase this book at the beginning of the course and study through it as the year goes along or is it a “cram book” that can be used in the last few weeks of April?

bump 10char

It’s helpful to read it as the course progresses. It’s a long and detailed study book, so I wouldn’t recommend waiting until the last second to review from it. It’s good for brushing up on chapters you already read or to get a condensed overview of a particular topic, though.

Here’s an Amazon link: [Amazon.com: United States History: Preparing for the Advanced Placement Examination: John J. Newman: Books](http://www.amazon.com/United-States-History-Preparing-Examination/dp/1567656609/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top)

You can get the book used for $20 plus shipping.

wow that’s so weird…i checked a few weeks ago and i could have sworn it was in stock

who’s buying up all of amsco lol

I contacted the AMSCO people and received an email stating the book would be in stock by the beginning of November. Apparently it was a hotter seller than anticipated and they did not print enough copies.

Lol. This is so werid. I just checked their website and their publisher is in Duluth, GA which is where I LIVE! Hahaha. anyways, it is really really small company and ppl in this forum were recomanding to everybody so they sold out quickly. They told me it was g2 be on stock on 31st of october but i guess it isn’t

I hear AMSCO is releasing a new version/edition. Should I go searching for the current version or wait until the new one comes out. (I heard its suppose to come out before the AP test but that is all)

the only reason they are coming out with a “new edition” is probably because it has been so popular over the past few years. Honestly, if the “old editions” were the ones helping people do so well on the AP exams, why get the new one? If you have the old copy, no need to buy the new one, IMO.
