Amy O'Rourke

This is a touching tribute from Amy O’Rourke to her husband, Patrick, a Michigan police officer, who was killed in the line of duty over the weekend. Such tremendous grace and faith - what a lovely person.

[Officer Patrick O’Rourke’s wife speaks with 7 Action News about her husband](http://www.wxyz.com//dpp/news/region/oakland_county/officer-patrick-orourkes-wife-speaks-with-7-action-news-about-her-husband)

Very sad story but she seems to be a very strong, centered person, so I believe her when she says she will be okay.

Even the striongest people can crumble without support… It looks like she has it in her faith and her friends. So sad - she loves her husband so much!

Yes, and her family. Nevertheless, tough times are ahead once the dust settles and she is not quite as surrounded in the loving cocoon as she is now. When everyone else goes back to their lives, there will be times she lies in the dark and feels very alone, even though her family and friends still do love her and will be there for her as much as they can. At least that was my experience with devastating grief. No matter how close and loving one’s support circle is, there are still those lonely times.

So tragic.
