An engineering dream deferred ;)

So my dream was MIT. It’s the best engineering school in the world and what’s more, it offers aero/astro, the engineering major I wanted to pursue. Alas, it was not in the financial cards, and I must now go to Vanderbilt, a fine school, but one where there is no aero/astro or aerospace engineering.

So is my engineering dream permanently deferred, or is it possible to do a bachelor’s degree in a different type of engineering and move on to aero/astro when pursuing a master’s?

just get a bach. in ME and master in AE

No big deal
Although MIT was my dream school too, Vanderbilt is an awesome schools also. Go ti MIT for grad in AE and you’ll get the best of both worlds.

You chose Vanderbilt over Carnegie Mellon and HMC?

Did you get into Rice?

I got into Rice, but the scholarship plus the financial aid I got from Vanderbilt was too good for my parents to pass up.
