<p>So I’ve written an essay about research, which is 500 words (last time I checked). </p>
<p>It’s for the UC prompt
“Describe the world you come from for example, your family, community or school and tell us how your world has shaped your dreams and aspirations”, </p>
<p>and I’m also thinking of using it for the Common App prompt
“Some students have a background or story that is so central to their identity that they believe their application would be incomplete without it. If this sounds like you, then please share your story.”</p>
<p>I would like some harsh yet constructive criticism on my essay. </p>
<p>The thing is, my mom thinks everything I write is terrible. I’m not saying this essay is good, perse, but I’d like someone on the outside to give words of advice.</p>
