an F in my first semester in College

I have received my grades and GPA for the first semester, B on English Composition, B on Sociology, C on History 1301 and an F in College Algebra. The F and C are my main concerns… I am hoping to go into international business and transfer to Austin University as I am in Midland College at the moment. I am majoring in Economics and my classes this semester (Second) are Macroeconomics, History 1302, Trigonometry, English Composition 2, and Music Appreciation. I am worried that the F I have received will dampen my chances to transfer to UT Austin. I need advice please…

Since algebra is the prereq for trig, you shouldn’t be taking trigonometry this semester. Retake the course you failed and put more effort into it. Getting a good grade (B or better) in algebra should put your plans back on track.

okay thank you
