Hello to all,
I was born in an Eastern European Country, and my family immigrated go the U.S. when I was an infant; we are all U.S. citizens as well. My mother is from that Eastern European Country, and my father is from a South Asian country; I was wondering how just these factors alone can impact my chances at an ivy league school.
Thank you!
You can check mixed race on your application…? You would not qualify as URM if you checked either white or asian so checking mixed race would be your best bet. It probably will not help your chances much at all. Even being URM does not give a significant boost.
Neither will help you. Asian is an OVER represented minority at reach schools.
I believe that neither the common app or questbridge have a multiracial option, but I’m not completely sure. @jessiebears
What about being born in another country? @GMTplus7 @jessiebears
Thank you both for your help by the way!
@DoctorMD on the Common App, you can check more than one race box
