an international, is an interview really helpful

so is an interview as an international student help full, will impressing the interviewer have a great effect on mit decision

Yes, interviews are particularly helpful for international candidates. Firstly, because it really helps to put the applicants accomplishments into context and secondly, because it allows the EC to assess the ability to understand spoken English (which is pretty much a prerequisite). Do note however, that if an interview cannot be arranged because you happen to live somewhere where no EC is available, then the interview is waived and not having an interview does not count against you. However, if you have the option to have an interview, and you choose not to take it, then that does reflect poorly on you.

One other point to emphasize: definitely accept an interview if available, as the chances of admission are clearly higher for those who are interviewed versus those who were not.
