An interview with a lawyer?

I have been asked to do an interview and have accepted. As a result, I have been contacted by a lawyer (Princeton graduate) to have an interview with him. Honestly, I am scared… (no offense intended to lawyers around here) Will they use words I have said and assume different things about it? Or possibly even negative things? Should I be extremely cautious of what I say during the interview? Despite what others have said, I don’t think this interview will be a relaxing conversation. Please advise me on what to do! Any advice will be appreciated greatly! :)

I have an aunt who is a lawyer and I can tell you that they are people just like everyone else. I promise you that just because your interviewer happens to be a lawyer, that does not mean he is out to get you or use your words against you. My best interview so far was with a lawyer who graduated from Harvard. She was nice, engaging, and listened carefully to everything I had to say. Take a deep breath, and realize that the interview is just one part of the application. Best of luck!

A few years back I had an interview with a lawyer who graduated from Cornell and he was very pleasant to talk to. I would be surprised if your interviewer is “out to get you.” Don’t treat it like a deposition, treat it as any other conversation.
