Analytical essay

Hello,
I was writing an analytical essay on three books with similar themes I was wondering but if you had to grade my essay can you just briefly tell me what you will have given me ?
thanks!

Within the realms of literature there are countless themes that are presented upon numerous works of writings. Despite the uncountable stories that have been created in the past year alone, one is definitely bound to find a relationship in theme among the different literary works that one has compared it to. This shared relationship in theme can somewhat be related to what Foster has mentioned in the book, How to Read Literature Like a Professor. Foster explains that the method of where an author integrates similar ideas from another author is called intertexuality. One such example of where a story has a similar theme can be seen within: Harrison Bergeron, By the Waters of Babylon, Brave New World, and There Will Come Soft Rains. Within each of these four literary works the theme, the power of technology, can be seen in one way or another and on how it has both shaped the setting and the characters.
Between each of these four books that our class has discussed and read together, one common theme that is surrounded in each and every one of these is the theme of technology and how it is has a greatly influenced the way that a character is formed. By incorporating technology into the book it is much like what Foster has mentioned in,How to Read Literature Like a Professor when he discussed about the violence that is presented by the author or by the characters themselves. This theme of technology that has been implemented into the setting of these books is significant as it shapes the way that a certain character will take their quest upon their current setting. The theme of technology can easily be backed up with textual evidence from the book.
In the book, Harrison Bugeron, the power of technology can be seen through their use of television and the way they use the power of technology to obscure the citizens from the fact that everybody is truly different from one another. This is significant as it demonstrates the characters individuality from one another. By the Waters of Babylon as well demonstrates a similar theme of technology that is incorporated within the story line. Within this story it explains about the destructive force of mankind if one does not carefully observe what direction they are heading in their advancement in technology. This as well is significant as it silently whispers to the reader that if one does not make an effort to carefully observe the consequences of technology that it can be resulted with negative consequences which is a nuclear war in this story. The last two books, Brave New World and There Will Come Soft Rains, are very similar to one another as they both describe the theme of technology as well and on how life has become after their heavy reliance on it. In Brave New World they rely heavily on a pill called soma and in There Will Come Soft Rains rely on the highly advanced equipment that they use in their homes. This heavy reliance is significant as it shows that one’s life can be easily destroyed or manipulated through their use of technology.
No matter what the book is, there are always correlations in themes with another book that another author might have wrote before. Despite the blatant fact that countless numbers of other books have been created throughout the past, nearly everybody uses intertextuality which is a method in where the author incorporates different ideas from other people and implements it within their own book. Some of the few examples of a commonly shared theme can be seen within the books : Harrison Bergeron, By the Waters of Babylon, Brave New World, and There Will Come Soft Rains. The theme that has been represented within each of these books was the power of technology and how it has influenced the specific ways on how they live.

and i made another version that is somewhat similar to this.

Another similar theme that is in correlation with Harrison Bergeron is presented within the book, By the Waters of Babylon. In this short story which is set in the not so distant future represents the destructive force on how technology can be implemented within one’s modern day society and the terrible outcome of the disaster. Despite this book not discussing about how one keeps the stability within the world, this book goes on a detour from, Harrison Bergeron and explains the destructive force of when man attempts to harness the power of technology to bring themselves closer to the power of the gods. This attempt in man’s willfulness in an effort to make their society perfect has resulted with a nuclear warfare among the countries of the world. This is a significance to the story as it explains the destructive force of technology when one attempts to make their society the top of the line and the negative outcome of it. This story is silently whispering to the readers that the future of mankind is rested upon the shoulders of future generations if one does not carefully watch where they are heading through their technology. This statement can be easily found in the text after John, the main character of the story, and the son of the priest discovers a city that once thrived before the nuclear warfare has started. His sudden realization of how he believed that people in the past that they considered were gods were no more than simply people that lived long ago. This is a significance as it demonstrates that after so many years of tradition in believing that the people were gods that their knowledge of mankind has slowly drifted away because of the destructive force of technology forgetting their true roots from where they are.
In the world wide renowned book, Brave New World, by Aldous Huxley, he incorporates a similar theme as well which is the power of technology and how it has shaped the way the characters has lived their entire lives. Countless number of people that are living in this perfect society has been achieved through the power of technology however the people do not understand freedom and what it is like to truly love somebody. This usage of technology that is being incorporated into the everyday lives of the people living in the society is significant as it demonstrates what life could possibly be like with a government that has a heavy influence on the life that many people live in. One prime example to back up the fact where the government has a tremendous influence is the fact that they are producing babies at a blindingly fast paced to keep up with the rapidly growing population of the society where then the babies will be organized in their respective caste systems. However this highly efficient method of producing hard working babies has resulted with a drawback. The drawback has included that even though the government has strived for happiness and steadiness, one will never have the opportunity to truly love somebody and have a sense of freedom in their world. This is significant as it demonstrates that despite the government wanting to assist one to live a better and happier through technology that sometimes technology does not actually solve all of one’s problems.
There Will Come Soft Rains incorporates a similar theme of technology into where it makes a dramatic impact on the outcome of human civilizations and the consequences of heavily relying on the usage of it. In this book, the setting is set in the not so distant future in where many commodities that one has today in our modern society has been improved for meeting the needs of the future generation. However this improvisation has resulted in a problem which was the beginning of a nuclear war between countries. This nuclear war is significant to the story as it explains to the reader that the fate of mankind simply rests on the actions of mankind. Despite their technology being the top of the line in many aspects, the author is trying to explain to the reader that if one does not carefully observe the direction of what they are doing that it can result in a negative outcome. This can be blatantly seen within this short story as the technology is at a incredible height from where they are that because of their fast pace growing technology that they have forgotten the cons of having such a magnificent society. The case during this time was the result of a nuclear war. This simply demonstrates the fact that if we do not let technology get out of hand we can be stay clear from future conflicts such as a nuclear war.
