Active shooter at a business in the small suburb (of Madison) where I live. I feel sick.
Ouch- looked up a news article. I grew up in a different suburb and find many HS classmates are now in yours. They will eventually discover the shooter, aside from obviously mentally unstable, was a disgruntled employee/customer or has severe mental health problems. This happens all over the country. Our nice part of Tampa had a killing by car because of a man whose parents couldn’t get him hospitalized with the Baker Act up more than a few days.
Do not let this deter you from enjoying where you live. Feel safe.
Update: No fatalities, four or five people injured (including the shooter).
Two people in my wing at work got county emergency notifications, but no one knew why until people saw the news online. Very scary and way too close to home.
The Middleton shooting suspect died.
And a second shooting in Monona on a city bus full of high school students, but this shooting was accidental (?!).
Same day as Wisconsin, there was a shooter in Pennsylvania near Pittsburgh
And, right now Baltimore

Yeah. It’s hard to keep up with them all. Sigh.
