It is frightening. My heart goes out to all on the scene and threatened by this horror.

Very little on the national news about this.
Not considered big news and. That is sad and terrifying to me.
On the other hand, maybe if we stop giving these cretins the attention/notoriety they crave, maybe, maybe it can have some small, beneficial effect.
Those students in that video were surprisingly calm. 
The shooter has been identified ( I won’t post the name) as a 22 year old history major, who shot the other students during a class presentation. The 2 dead were male students.
There is another tread already started. Hopefully these can be combined.
Argh. Stop the madness. My texts blew up just a bit ago, as I have a kid at UNC…but in Chapel Hill.

This is why we have these sorts of drills now - teaching kids how to act in such situations to try to save more lives. I don’t think it’s ever going to end. It’s the sad world we now live in.

The professor’s analysis of the cause of shootings resonates, but I believe there is also an element of mental illness involved in many if not most cases.
