omggggg i know!!! 20+ homes down?? what the heck!
I was walking through 24 hour fitness and i hear “you better pray your school doesn’t burn down!!!” awesome.

Yeah, UCSB never seems to have any problems because it’s many miles away from the mountains… most of the fires affect the foothill areas of Santa Barbara. The only thing we had here was couch fires but even those disappeared when the cops cracked down on it lol.

^ awww! I’m either choosing San Nic and trying to get into the scholar’s LLC even though I am not in honors ooooor Women in Science and Technology at Mani.

Ah I see. I guess you just gotta see it from their perspective (even though FSSP seems like a great opportunity). Yeah…I was going to spend my summer in SB anyways…so…yeah.

Yeah, but at the same time…a lot of my kids comment that they would totally want to go to UCSB…if they didn’t live in SB (to get more of the “going away” college experience). I don’t live in the city of SB, though, so that’s still a little bit of a buffer between my house. But, I still know how to get around SB and Goleta (UCSB is really in Goleta…not SB). So it really does go both ways.

See, thats why I didn’t apply to UCI or my parents would make me go there. I wanted that going away experience. Thankfully it seems your parents are letting you stay in the dorms!

Oh yeah. Definately dorms. I think my mom and I are both looking forward to having a 15 min buffer between us. I think it will help our relationship a lot. Not that we fight a lot or anything…we’re just both really independent and stubborn haha.

Yeah I know what you mean, my sister and my dad are the same way. I think thats the problem, cus I’m the baby of the family going away to college and my older sister who is a lot tougher then me didn’t leave home. So its tough on them.
