Andover article on wikipedia

<p>Someone totally hijacked the Andover article on wikipedia. The kid was probably from Exeter.</p>

<p>“Phillips Academy offers a broad curriculum and extracurricular activities that include getting your butt kicked by Exeter in football, getting your butt kicked by Exeter in water polo, getting your butt kicked by Exeter in soccer,getting your butt kicked by Exeter in intelligence, and just plain getting your butt kicked by Exeter. The academy raised $208 through “Campaign Andover,” which brought its endowment to around $550 in 2004.”</p>

<p>That’s so ridiculous someone would do this. It used to be such a great article.</p>

<p>A few weeks ago the Deerfield article in Wikipedia had been modified to change the school mascot to something rather inappropriate. Apparently, someone thought the Deefield Door resembled something else.</p>

<p>Uh, ‘revision history’ – you or anyone could just change it back. Someone should have it on their watchlist and fix it up sometime soon.</p>

<p>And I am so annoyed with the sort of vandals that do this and make the entire school–including me, I suppose–look bad. Not cool!</p>

<p>Also: flex those sleuthing muscles and see who edited it. Or was it anonymous?</p>

<p>I don’t think it makes Andover look bad. It makes Exeter look bad.</p>

<p>it’ll get fixed up…it just makes exeter look bad. It’s also wrong, as we beat them in football 43-14. Waterpolo was actually the only sport that Exeter won over Andover :)</p>

<p>Oh… this is common problem on Wikipedia and is the nature of the beast. It is not unique to the Andover entry…or Exeter for that matter (look in the discussion tab on the Exeter entry and you’ll see it’s been a past victim as well). </p>

<p>Actually, I think it’s refreshing that the students of both schools have a sense of humor - and the time! Proves they’re not all overly serious grinds!!
Teens will be teens and there are much more harmful ways they can be spending their free time!</p>

<p>Schools with strong rivalries pull pranks on each other all of the time. It’s what makes the rivalry strong. No one is getting hurt. MIT has pulled several hilarious pranks on Harvard over the years. Everyone needs to have a sense of humor about it and not take it so seriously.</p>

<p>Oh, yes yes, don’t get me wrong. I mean, vandalism is all fine and good, so long as it is a little bit CREATIVE which well, this instance wasn’t. The evil creativity clearly has too much work on-campus to concern itself with Andover’s web presence. Go figure.</p>

<p>What looks worse? Andover students setting mice loose in the Exeter liberary or Exeter students using their wit and intellect to brighten up students at andovers day! ;)</p>

<p>most of the people complaining about it don’t go to Andover…almost no one here would get worked really up over a wikipedia article.</p>

<p>Football right?..They lost 19-14 to Salisbury, who were able to shut down the Andover running game. Good season for Andover, but they have to feel very disappointed to suffer tough losses in back to back championships.</p>

<p>well Salisbury are pretty sick at pretty much every sport…except for hockey this year haha…since they lost Alex Biega to Harvard…<em>cough</em> 1050 SAT <em>cough</em></p>

<p>hotchkiss beat salisbury on their ice this season…a huge feat considering hotchkiss really isnt that good at hockey while salisbury didnt lose a single game last season</p>

<p>Hotchkiss is having a great season so far in hockey. They’ve got two wins over Salisbury and are currently ranked number one by ushr.com. Salisbury is definitely missing Biega on the blue line, but his younger brother is playing well.</p>

<p>Yes, Hotchkiss is indeed having a really good season. I believe they only have one tie, which was against Gunnery, who’s also proving to have a really strong team this year, having beaten Taft for example. Yes, both Biegas are really strong players but Salisbury also has a couple of others that are equally as good. I am sure they will get on track and probably end up being one of the last 4 teams standing, as so will Hotchkiss, because their defense and goalie I’ve heard are terrific.</p>
