Andover candidate statement

When I was filling this out the other day, I noticed that the candidate statement has a section where the applicant fills in the date they took the SSAT or ISEE, as well as an interview date. However, on the website, they claim the candidate statement to be the first thing to complete, prior to interview or any testing. Anyone else notice this/know what to do?

You should either leave it blank or put the date you are going to take it (dont forget to tell them the year you’re taking it). They usually have an option that says “I haven’t taken it” for most schools.

Problem is, on the online one, it does not specify if it is required, but on the hardcopy/PDF file, it says ‘Interview (required)’. Though I suppose it could mean that the interview is required for the application process.

Bumping this thread since I still don’t have an answer yet :/

are you talking about the candidate statement from the actual application? if so, i think you’re supposed to just send it in by january, aren’t you? lol marginal help, but at least it bumps the thread

Not the candidate statement from the actual application, the part you’re suppose to finish as soon as possible. Part 1. The part that states you’re going to apply to the school

Complete the candidate statement ASAP, so that your file is created. For SSAT, just put the date you plan to take it, and for interview just put “to be scheduled.”
