Sorry to disturb,
Am I allowed to edit my interview information form after submission?
hi @Personof2017
I am not sure what you mean my ‘interview information form’?
I applied to andover last year; was no such thing…
Besides any form or digital data for any part of the application cannot be re-submitted…No resubmission’s…
And think about it from the AO’s perspective, if you have looked at one kids file already and still have piles to go you wouldn’t want to go back to a file you have read because they changed something minor.
At the same time if its major, you could call them and request them verbally to note that on your file; but would it rly be worth it?
There is an interview form. I think it’s only used for the interview. I don’t recall what was asked on it. What exactly do you want to change? Why?
@sgopal2 I just want to know whether to submit it early and schedule an interview or take the time to thoroughly revise it and then book an interview.
@Atria Darn I wish I could add images. I just created an account and this is the first thing Andover asks you to do.
By the way, around how many interviews do you guys think are available at this time?
Our experience was that interviews book quickly, so I recommend scheduling them as soon as you can.
Yes fill out the form and book the interview. If you have things that change later (like your address, etc) you can always update the admissions office file later.
Hmmm…
Last year I did a skype interview… probably the reason why…
I am assuming that AO’s use this for background info for your interview… I agree with @sgopal2 … If things have changed just mention it in the interview…
4 years ago it was all on paper - DS filled out a form when he got there. I wouldn’t worry too much about this - the interviewer wants to know a little about you to steer the conversation. I would call Andover very soon to schedule an interview. I saw something on their Facebook page a few weeks ago that they had some cancellations for a weekend in October, opened a few more in Nov and had some spots in January. They seem to have some last minute cancellations if you are flexible/local or lucky when you call.
@ma2012 Thanks for helping me realize that I was not having a brain fart. I was reading this thread and thinking, “I’m sure I did not fill out an interview form in advance.”
Typically when do most interviews have to be done? The schools we are looking it have deadlines in January/February. Right now we are swamped with SSAT testing and our regular school Fall stuff.
@gama54321 Typically by the application deadline. Interview slots usually fill up rather quickly, especially the choice slots, so you should try to schedule them as soon as you can.
@Personof2017 hi, I’m applying to Andover too this year (9th grade entrance) and I had the same question too. After I submitted my interview form thing, it said something along the lines of “if you need to make any edits please contact the Admissions Office”. So yes, you are allowed to edit it, however I would think it is best to have most of your information before submitting it as to not have to go to too much trouble to contact the Admissions Office and edit it.
TL;DR: yes, you are
Hope this helps,

Are there any spots left for Exeter? I’m so nervous.
How about Hotchkiss, Lawrenceville, Choate, and Deerfield?
It was about this time last year that we made appointments for my kid. We didn’t have the best choice of slots but we made it work. One school had to be done as a Skype interview. But please do get going and make your appointments.
Fall into winter is typical interviewing time. Interview slots fill up - though occasionally there are cancellations or additional slots added. You can start booking interviews in August. If you haven’t booked yet call the schools to see what is still available.
Good luck with applications.
@AppleNotFar @MA2012 Thanks!
