Andover Waitlist

So I got waitlisted at Andover, and I had to obtain that information by calling them, and they did not tell me whether I was on the Top 25 list. What do I do now? I have sent them an email telling them I wish to remain on the waitlist, and that Andover is still my top choice. I might call them again this week to clarify which list I am on.

While I wait, is there anything I can do? Or do I just sit and wait. I read D’yer’s post about withdrawing from the list and seeing if that stimulates interest on the admissions’ side. Are there any other suggestions?

so the letter didn’t say u were in the top 25? are u waitlisted at other schools?

Where else did you apply?
Id go with a safety.

I would recommend sending an email after 4/10, that’s what I’m going to do. Restate your reasons for wanting to go and add any other information you might want to add. For example, I just recently went to my first chess competition (Beijing City Spring Chess Tournament) and won 6/11 games. Not bad, so I might consider adding it in my email. I didn’t get the package either and I had to phone to get my status. They also didn’t specify which list I was on. Maybe it’s something to do with China? None of my classmates got their packages from Andover either.

If you have a safety, i’d suggest going to that. the andover waitlist is unpredictable as many have mentioned. If i was taken in by another school i would go to that than risk my chance of going to boarding school at all.
