Anecdote Essay?

Ok so I just have two very short questions…

I am thinking about starting off my essay in the future of a high tech society, and then contrasting it with the present. I would then say how I would like to help build that future in some shape or form, and then talk about myself and my desire for change while highlighting my accomplishments. I would do it all in first person and make the future part really cool with robot servicemen, dispensers, and transparent aluminum. :)

Do you think this is a good idea?

How long can essays be? I know that there is no limit but would 2000 words be pushing it?

Most essays are between 500-700 words!

This topic sounds really cool and unique! I’d be interested to see how it turns out. However, I became weary when I read “highlighting my accomplishments” lol. Make sure to do this subtly! You don’t want to come off pretentious or just rehash what your transcript said. But yeah, this topic sounds awesome I hope it turns out as good as it sounds!

I loled when I read “Most essays are between 500-700 words!”
Thats what I thought…I guess I will just have to make it concise.
By higlighting my accomplishments I mean highlighting what I am trying to do now to meet my future goals.

Bump, can some more people share their opinions?

Bump, 8char

Have you written it yet?

2000 words is beyond pushing it.

No have not written yet, today wrote some and am at about 300 words, I’m going to shoot for 750 words.

I’m more of less asking now if you think the idea is good and unique.

Idea:
Describe a futuristic world (in a humorous aspect), go back to present and relate myself to it and how I want to work hard all my life to help our society reach the potential of the one I depicted.
